“I signed up for nutritional coaching with Kate Czerwenka thinking “I know all there is to know about diets (after being on & off pretty much every one out there for most of my 57 years) all I need is help being consistent“ Boy was I wrong.

I had 3 goals:

1) to learn to be consistent

2) to learn to eat in order to nourish my body for workouts (I had just started again after a 4 year/30 lbs weight gain break)

3) to try not to focus on weight loss

During our first meeting, one of the things Kate said to me was “there are no BAD foods” I thought to myself this gal is nuts, OF COURSE there are bad foods, what have I done signing up for this?.

I listened to her, I trusted her & did what she asked of me, to add more food on workout days, take photos of the food I was eating and share them with her so she could ask questions, give advise etc.

During every one of our weekly chats, Kate said something that made me think differently than I ever had. I would sit with her comments and then I really started to focus on nutrition as opposed to “dieting” Kate taught me to eat for nutrition. The majority of the time I eat for body nutrition, but sometimes it’s my soul that needs nutrients, so I feed it what it needs, I enjoy it and move on without judgement. Kate made me realize that I have always had drama around food and I now think, food is just food, don’t give it any power. One day this thought popped into my head “I’ve STOPPED fighting my body and have accepted it” for the first time in my life I can honestly say, I have no idea what I weight, and I don’t care… it’s the most wonderful freeing feeling. I feel like 100 pounds have been lifted off me.

If anyone is thinking of hiring a nutrition coach, I HIGHLY recommend Kate Czerwenka. Trust what she says, she is amazing.“
